Google can now help you find doctors who accept your health insurance

Are you looking for a new doctor who takes out your health insurance? An update to Google search might make this easier.

Google has announced updates to search results providing more information about doctors, such as the insurance companies they accept and the languages they speak in their practices.

For example, if you search for doctors near your city, it will show results that you can refine with details such as “accept Medicare”.

When looking for a particular doctor, you can click an option to check insurance information to learn more about the plans they support.

“By providing timely and authoritative health information, along with relevant resources and tools on Google search, we are always exploring ways to help people make more informed choices about their health,” said Google search director Hema Budaraju said in a statement.
